Unilateral changes to opening hours are prohibited from 1 January 2022
On July 14, 2021, a legislative amendment to the shopping hours law was passed by the Senate that gives franchisees (and retailers) more control over their opening hours. For more information, see the article by Mr. AW Dolphijn of December 28, 2018:
On October 20, 2021, it was announced that the law will enter into force on January 1, 2022.
